Today’s look is another variation of my favorite combo – distressed shorts and tee. Although it’s still autumn here I still wore my favorite clothes whenever I get the chance. Honestly, though the weather here can really be confusing most of the time.
There are times that it would rain for days and other days it is sunny. Just like today, the weather is fair enough that I was able to wear this outfit.
Few more weeks and I’ll be flying back to the Philippines again. I keep contemplating of possible things that I should start doing. Things that I use to take no notice of before. True that traveling could not only proffer promising adventure, but it can unlock inner perception you know nothing about before.
One thing I learned though - always trust your path and follow your heart. It may lead you to bigger struggle, it may lead you to disappointments, it may lead you to something beautiful, but whatever it is, it is important to stay put on your vision and your purpose and with that you will never get lost.
Ever had that moment when you feel so lifeless to the point that you no longer know what to do? I sometimes had that trice from being hyperactive to lackluster and It made me think that I might be suffering from a bipolar disorder – that, of course, I would refuse to take in hahaha.
And it was yesterday that I’ve come to learn that weather can have a compelling impact on human emotions. According to Osteopathic Physician Dr. Joseph Mercola, if people that it is essential for people to allow the sun to shine on their bare skin because it helps the body to produce vitamin D which is very significant in serotonin production. Serotonin, on the other hand, is a brain hormone associated with mood elevation.
I always travel light so when I was packing for my Japan travel I only packed what I thought is conceded in the “travel light” category. I did not contemplate what the weather condition will be.
And It’s already transition season when I arrived in Japan - from summer to autumn. October was the worst for me because autumn here is like winter already and I couldn’t wear any of the clothes I brought with me.
It’s been raining here lately in Japan and it’s such a downer, especially when I have the urge to go out and explore, but I guess I’m stuck in the house for the rest of the week. I love staying indoors, but staying for 3 days or so it makes me lethargic and gloomy hahaha You see sometimes exploration can trigger inspiration.
But on the positive note, I can finally blog about my current fashion favorite which I mostly got at www.sammydress.com this online shop is never new in the blog. In fact, I've been blogging clothes from them over the years.
A bandana and a cute skirt can go a long way. I’m a firm believer with the saying “Travel light” no need to bring your entire closet with you when you travel. You just need to learn how to mix and match your outfit.
Accessories are also a must have just like this cute little High Waisted Grommet Lace Up Bodycon Skirt I got from www.rosegal.com. A cute red bandana, lace socks, and a stripe print top can give it a different hype.
I’m not in the mood to dress up lately, It’s probably the weather for most of the day it’s been raining here in Japan. I’ve been staying indoors making me feel both nostalgic and melancholic.
But today Mr. Sun decides to get out of his cave cloud hence we were able to attend my niece's sports fest in their school today. I decided to wear this white Multi-Layered Flounce Tank Top and Openwork Skirt from www.dresslily.com.
Hello everyone here’s my first outfit post from Japan. There are so many beautiful places here in Japan. Instant backdrop everywhere the only snag is that the blogger jowa who takes a much better picture isn’t with me. (sigh) Now I’m beginning to feel nostalgic In some way I’m wishing that I could finally end the 90 days vacation here.
Enough of this sentis hahaha, today I wore this Floral Embroidered Flare Sleeve Striped Dress from www.zaful.com
I sometimes wonder why of all prints, it’s floral prints that always go hand in hand with summer and beaches. If you were to ask me, it’s also my choice too, though I couldn’t quite understand why.
It’s exactly what happened when I got invited during a press-con of a soon to be opened first sea spa in Iloilo (will blog about it too..soon) location is at the beach and the first outfit that came to my mind is the smocked Tube Top And Slit Floral Wide Leg Pants that I got from www.zaful.com.
When shopping online I find it difficult to choose designs or styles other that off shoulders, stripes, tartan, ginghams and checkered.
I’ve been constantly adding new items to my closet without even realizing that. Well.. They all look pretty similar not until of course when I received my parcel from www.fr.zaful.com and my mother points out that all my clothes look the same. I can’t actually justify it given the reality that I am obsessed with it.
Hello, everyone. What to wear on a hump day? I say a classic white button down shirt and ripped shorts? But I have to admit that while I was updating my closet recently I realized that I don't have a single white button down shirt at all.
There are those times, that when you see a certain piece of clothing, you suddenly had a mental picture of what you'll be mixing it with and that's exactly what happened to me only that one piece is missing - a white button down shirt.
I have to admit that this post has been sitting in my draft folder for
days now. My imaginary friend left me and I was left with a writer’s block or
should I say I’ve been very busy that I left my imaginary friend somewhere and now
I couldn’t find it. hahaha
It’s true that busyness somehow affects your creative thinking. Your brain
refuses to execute creatively because it’s already worn out. And whilst I painstakingly dig through old writings of mine I developed a sense of
enviousness towards my old self – the one who can write artistically.
So, how
busy is too busy? For me, I guess I've reached the tipping point that I could
no longer endure the weight of my commitments and it's taking its toll on me.
How to wear a sheer bodysuit? The word sheer may sound daunting given that it gives more illusion than the outfit itself.
But the fact is that gone are the days where diaphanous clothes are something to be worn indoors. Over time it stretches its way out to the catwalk and through the streets. Although wearing it may require a dose of bravery, but just think of Gigi Hadid and her skinny jeans and lacy bralette underneath a sheer bodysuit. It all depends on how you wear it and carry yourself.
I’d say the denim dresses are an ideal piece to have on high rotation. It’s so versatile you can wear it on any occasion – street wears, travels, adventures… wherever. This semi long denim dress that I got from www.rosegal.com was the first thing that I stashed in my travel bag when I recently went on a 4 days vacation.
Somehow I opted to bring dresses rather than pants and tops whenever I travel to lessen the weight and maximize the space in my suitcase. And yes, denim dresses can go with any shoes and as the rule of thumb is that vacationer should pack no more than two shoes especially if you do not have check in baggage haha
Annoyingly, I’ve been procrastinating these past weeks and blame myself for being unproductive hahaha this is one of the things so I’ve set aside. Only yesterday my best friend and I went to check on Forever 21 store since they are having a mega sale at 50% off wew! Guilty Pleasures activated!
I’ve always been verbal about my fondness for forever 21. It’s always been a favorite brand. How my love affair with forever 21 started could be traced back when I was just 14 and in the form of a red polka dot sundress - my first ever Forever 21 owned dress. Since then my fascination for the brand grew year after year after year.
I thought I would start my week off by wearing something floral. As they say, nothing can aid a rapid revitalization from a stressful day like a bouquet of flowers. It’s true that flowers can convey positive energy to the senses. By merely looking or smelling it, it helps alleviate stress. No wonder that Ikebana (floral arrangement) is considered a therapy in Japan.
The newest addition to my growing playsuit and romper collection. I just can't help it, though. No matter how hard I try to divert to other styles, I still go back to it. It’s because romper is like a “one and done” outfit. They're the easiest thing to wear for me. And rompers are the perfect summer staple.
When you wake up late and you have an event to tend to you are most likely to square with wardrobe essentials that you‘ll find in your closet. These essentials are your emergency outfits, the very core foundation of your closet; you see it makes your morning easier, especially if you’re running late or just not in the mood to doll up.
And recently I have invested on basic staples such as ankle grazing pants (tattered are my favorites) and statement tees. And of course white sneakers, they are a real must have for it goes with almost anything.
And here’s another blue and white story and believe me it won’t end here hihihi. I told myself that it’s okay to wear such colors. I mean it’s summer here and blue and white is the classic nautical color as it represents the sea and the sail.
Off shoulders is another thing you’ll most likely to find in my closet. I’ve been obsessed with this kind of style for years that even my boyfriend once asked me why I love to wear such panache. Honestly, I don’t know I just love it.
Where did I get this Summer Women's Mini off shoulder Dress? I got it from www.tosave.com for only $7.28 a steal deal eh? It's cotton blend so it's perfect for summer. Other colors are also available such as pink and mint green.
Other products are also available at ToSave they have electronics, computer accessories, video games, iPhone accessories and many more. It's likely you're one stop online store.
